This 1970 musical masterpiece by Cornelius Cardew will travel between six locations over nine hours in Lower Manhattan. You’ll hear everything from a pipe organ to percussion and everything in between. Check out one installation or travel to and from all six. This is the first time this dynamic performance has ever hit New York City. Your family can see and hear the premiere!

Learn about the ancient practice of outrigger canoe paddling and cheer on a race of top athletes from around the globe as they paddle down 15 miles of the Hudson River. They'll go down and around the Brooklyn Bridge, past the Statue of Liberty and back to Pier 26. There you'll find a Polynesian festival with entertainment, lei making, ukelele lessons, paddling demos and storytelling.

Visit the Do Good Pop Up Shop presented by Halo, Purely for Pets and Ellen DeGeneres for a special family day. Kids can come in and participate in a variety of ways to help pets in need: Create postcards to help homeless pets (for every postcard created, Halo donates food to shelters!), learn about kids who are doing cool things to help pets, get a free wristband, play an online trivia game to help shelter pets and receive a free copy of “Mimi and Maty to the Rescue” book and a special “rescue” notebook. Dogs are welcome and treats will be provided.

Here comes the sun! The Queens Botanical Garden is celebrating the Summer Solstice with a day of workshops and activities featuring a bird/nature walk, compost demonstrations, a community art project and activities for children including crafts, the TD Bank Activity table, seed plantings and Silly Cheeks face art and balloon twisting.

Great Small Works is transforming St. Ann's Warehouse into a world of fantastical tiny stages featuring little theaters from around the world. Catch miniature performances throughout the festival, but special family programs are happening on Sunday morning at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

You can explore antique ships at the North River Historic Ship Festival all weekend long. On Sunday, go fishing, discover river critters and learn how to tie knots alongside and onboard Lilac.
