Katydid Collection's founder, Katy Messersmith, literally stumbled upon the style scene. In 2002, she was volunteering at a women's prenatal clinic in Africa when her luggage was lost. Being a problem solver, she began working with local seamstresses to make new clothes, sparking the inspiration for her bold creations to come.
