Surya
In 1976, Surya M. Tiwari worked as the local teacher and contractor in the small village of Ugapur, India, dreaming of greater places and a greater purpose. A chance meeting in Mumbai with an American company allowed him to pitch his ideas for local, handmade goods.
When the company expressed interest, Surya had one week to return to his village and set up his production site and entire collection of merchandise. After convincing the buyers his products were just right for their market, Surya's company began its rise.
By 1986, he was granted authority to operate his business within the United States. The popularity of Surya's merchandise and his dedication to providing the best service necessitated direct contact. Today, the Surya company is known for their fine products, innovative use of color and design, and devotion to providing customers with the very best.
