Notes

  1. When you receive the violin, the bridge will be wrapped in paper and stored underneath the tailpiece. Do not discard it. The bridge should be installed between the two F-holes.

  2. If the bow hair is loose when you receive it, use the screw to tighten the frog until the hair has the proper tension.

  3. If some bow hair is broken, this can be normal. Simply remove the broken strands, and the bow can continue to be used.

  4. Do not overtighten the bow. The hair should have a slight bounce without touching the stick when placed on the strings. A distance of approximately 1/4 inch between the hair and the lowest point of the bow curve is generally appropriate.

  5. To apply rosin, hold it securely with your index finger and thumb and move the bow evenly across the rosin. Before applying, lightly scratch the surface of the rosin to create a powdery layer for quicker and more even application. Avoid getting rosin on your hands, or use a tissue while applying it, as it can become sticky and difficult to clean.

  6. If a string comes loose or falls out, it can be reinstalled. If you need assistance, please contact customer service.
